Snowmobiling

Heli-Skiing

In continuous operation since 1982, Telluride Helitrax is Colorado’s most professional and experienced helicopter ski company. Located in the heart of the San Juan Mountains, Helitrax has exclusive helicopter access to over 200 square miles of high alpine basins, cirques and summits. Helitrax provides single and multi-day heli-ski and snowboard trips, custom heli-ski tours, backcountry ski tours and more. Helitrax flies out of the Peaks Resort and Spa located slopeside in Mountain Village.

Eco Adventures

Eco Adventures provides day camps for kids ages 5-12. Our programs are designed to connect kids with their environment and develop a deeper appreciation for the world around them. We have full day, half day, and afternoon options, with programs for all interests. And while you’re signing your kids up for our camps, don’t forget to check out our snowbike lessons! Learn a new, exciting way to get down the mountain.


Snowshoeing

Explore a part of Telluride Ski Resort that is normally unseen by the average skier. A knowledgeable, local snowshoe guide will lead you through a winter wonderland and provide information on Telluride wildlife, trees, geology, history, climate, etc. Tours provide educational recreation for all abilities. Each tour includes foot passenger lift ticket, snowshoes, poles if desired and guided tour. Snacks and water are provided, but guests are encouraged to bring his/her own water bottle.


Alta Lakes Observatory Overnights

This is it. It’s the trip you’ve heard legends of, epic tales of snowmobiling at twilight and back country skiing at the crack of dawn. Now is your chance to experience this icon of Telluride. Nestled amongst Palmyra Peak, at 11, 000 ft., The Alta lakes Observatory is one of the highest Homes in all of America. This luxurious backcountry cabin offers sleeping accommodations for up to ten people, a full, state of the art kitchen, and a beautiful Jacuzzi and sauna room. In addition to the luxurious lodging, guests are able to experience the culinary delight of having a private chef. Kids' Night Out

Telluride Sitters is excited to provide an evening out for parents and a memorable Kid's Night Out for your children. As you enjoy your time throughout Mountain Village and Telluride, your children will be creating crafts to take home as keepsakes, playing games to make new friends for future ski seasons; making your child's night as memorable as yours.


Cat Skiing

Come cat skiing in one of Colorado’s deepest snowpacks, atop beautiful Molas Pass, just a few miles south of the wonderful town of Silverton. Their wide variety of terrain allows guides to pick and choose runs that satisfy everyone’s needs; everything from steeps, wide open powder, and tree runs are easily accessible.


Cubs Camp at the Nursery

Our Cubs Camp at the Nursery provides full day and hourly care for infants and toddlers ages 2 months through 5 years old. The full day will provide a picnic lunch (weather permitting) plus snacks and nap or quiet time. Examples of daily activities are an extensive art room, small hikes and picnics in the park. All toddlers and infants have top quality care from counselors with early childhood experience and education backgrounds.

Telluride Golf Club

The natural beauty and splendor of the surrounding mountains and wildflowers will take your breath away as you tee off at 9,417 feet, an altitude that puts Telluride Golf Club amongst the highest golf courses in the world. The altitude works to your advantage as Telluride's air creates less resistance against the golf ball during flight, translating to longer drives.

4x4, ATV and RZR Tours

Relics from telluride’s historic mining claims, Telluride is covered in a network of 4x4 trails that provide access to beautiful mountain vistas, alpine lakes, ghost towns and mining ruins. Two of Telluride’s more popular 4x4 routes provide family friendly adventures over Imogene Pass and Ophir Pass. For more extreme offroad adventures, Black Bear pass starts near the summit of Red Mountain Pass and descends down breathtaking switchbacks with sections of exposed traverses that the locals refer to as the “stair steps.” Guided tours provide a safe and comfortable means to go on your offroad adventure and guides are packed full of historical and geographic knowledge to supplement your experience.


Kids Activities (Summer)

Kids Camp is a full day of outdoor exploration for kids ages 5-8. Each day we offer something new and exciting! Activities include: easy to moderate hikes, playing in and around the river, fun games, team-building activities, mushroom hunting, picnic lunches, fun cooking & science experiments, and nature arts & crafts.


Paragliding

Tandem flights require no experience. Ride up the gondola, strap in with the guide, and enjoy the 10 to 30 minute flight.


Fly Fishing

Telluride's rivers provide some of the best trout fishing in the Rocky Mountains. Near Telluride, the San Miguel, Dolores, Uncompahgre and Gunnison offer unique fly fishing opportunities, and a network of lakes, ponds and alpine creeks offer even more.


Horseback Riding

Some of the best views of the Colorado mountains are from the back of a horse. You're likely to encounter wildlife like Rocky Mountain Elk and Mule Deer as you ride through Telluride's San Juan Mountains on horseback, and you are surrounded by some of the most beautiful country you will ever see.
